About EBWA
What is EBWA?
Enfield Bangladesh Welfare Association is a community charity based in Ponders End, Enfield. We work to relieve economic deprivation and social isolation among the Bangladeshi community and the wider community in the borough, particularly older people, those out of work, and young people. We are a registered charity, number 1055430.
How long has EBWA been running?

Membership
Who can become a member?
Membership is open to anyone who is aged 18 or over, is of Bangladeshi origin, and lives or works in the London Borough of Enfield. These requirements come from our constitution.
Our services
What activities do you run?
Our main programmes are weekend Arabic and Bengali schools, a drop-in and exercise session for older people, employability and childcare training for women, free advice and translation, health awareness activities, and a youth cricket project. Do you offer help with letters and forms?
Yes. We offer free advice and translation to help people deal with letters, forms and appointments, and to navigate council and health services. Please call or visit the centre to arrange a time.
